China and France Urged to Strengthen Contributions to World Peace and Development

Beijing (Amaravati Today): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during a reception in Beijing celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and France, emphasized that both countries, as permanent members of the UN Security Council, should make greater contributions to global peace, development, and progress.

He stressed the need for China and France to uphold their traditions and responsibilities to ensure a steady and lasting future for China-EU relations. Wang highlighted the absence of geopolitical conflicts and fundamental interest clashes between the two nations, emphasizing their potential for win-win cooperation, mutual learning, and common progress.

The French Ambassador to China, Bertrand Lortholary, pledged to implement the common understanding between the two countries' leaders and further enhance bilateral relations in the new era.
