China and Pakistan Renew Commitment to CPEC Success and Expanded Cooperation
China's Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong visited Pakistan, where he engaged in high-level meetings with Pakistani leaders. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and expressed their desire for increased collaboration in various sectors, including information technology, economy, agriculture, and human resource development.
During his visit, Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong met with prominent Pakistani figures, including President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, and Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani. They engaged in in-depth discussions on bilateral relations and mutual interests. Additionally, Sun co-chaired the Fourth Meeting of the CPEC Joint Working Group on International Cooperation and Coordination with Pakistani Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi.
China and Pakistan share a robust strategic partnership, with China supporting Pakistan's sovereignty, independence, and unity. Both nations aim to deepen their political trust, expand practical cooperation, enhance the CPEC, and strengthen their shared future as close partners in the new era.
