Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, overseeing China-US economic and trade affairs, met with a delegation led by Jay Shambaugh, Under Secretary for International Affairs at the US Treasury, in Beijing.
He emphasized implementing consensus from the San Francisco meeting between heads of state, urging collaboration through working groups to deepen exchanges, stabilize, and develop economic relations. Shambaugh's visit coincides with the third meeting of the China-US economic working group, established under joint leadership to foster economic dialogue.
Guided by bilateral agreements, the working group facilitates exchanges between vice-ministerial officials from China's Ministry of Finance and the US Treasury, aiming to enhance cooperation for mutual benefit and advance economic ties between the two nations.
