India's Defence Secretary, Shri Giridhar Aramane, is set to visit Oman on January 30 & 31, 2024, where he will co-chair the 12th Joint Military Cooperation Committee meeting with Dr. Mohammed bin Naseer bin Ali Al-Zaabi, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence in Oman. The visit aims to bolster defense cooperation and strategic partnership between the two nations across various military domains, including bilateral exercises, staff discussions, training, and emerging areas of collaboration.

During the visit, both sides will review their existing defense cooperation and discuss new initiatives, particularly in the realm of industry collaboration. The talks will also encompass regional and global issues of mutual concern, underscoring the shared interests and commitment to peace and prosperity in the broader region.
