India-Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise 'SADA TANSEEQ' Kicks Off in Rajasthan

The inaugural edition of the India-Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise, 'SADA TANSEEQ,' has commenced in Mahajan, Rajasthan, and will run from January 29 to February 10, 2024. The exercise involves 45 personnel from both sides, with Saudi Arabia represented by the Royal Saudi Land Forces and India by a Battalion from the Brigade of the Guards (Mechanized Infantry).

The primary objective of the exercise is to train troops from both nations for joint operations in semi-desert terrain, in line with Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. 'SADA TANSEEQ' aims to facilitate the sharing of best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures for sub-conventional operations, fostering interoperability, camaraderie, and mutual understanding between the participating troops.

The exercise will encompass various activities, including the establishment of mobile vehicle checkposts, cordon and search operations, house intervention drills, reflex shooting, slithering, and sniper firing. It serves as a platform to enhance defense cooperation, strengthen bilateral relations, and achieve shared security objectives between India and Saudi Arabia.
