Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the actions of certain Western countries that have chosen to cut funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani criticized these countries for basing their decisions on accusations made by the Zionist regime against some UNRWA employees. Kanaani argued that these accusations are part of the regime's inhumane actions against the Palestinian people.
Kanaani asserted that such accusations serve as a pretext for the Zionist regime to impose restrictions on humanitarian organizations operating in Gaza and the West Bank. He also pointed out that these countries' decision to cut aid to UNRWA effectively supports the claims made against the regime, which has been accused of genocide by the International Court of Justice.
Kanaani called on these countries to redirect their efforts toward ending arms aid to the Zionist regime and withdrawing political support from its leaders. He urged all nations, especially Islamic countries, to stand against this oppression and work together to meet the needs of the Palestinian people, emphasizing the importance of countering actions that seek to impose forced migration and weaken the will of Gaza's residents.
