Iran's President Raisi Urges Acceleration of Iran-India Agreements in Meeting with Indian Foreign Minister

During a meeting between Iran's President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and India's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the two leaders discussed the need to accelerate the implementation of various agreements between their nations. The focus was on the Chabahar Port Development Plan and addressing delays in fulfilling commitments. President Raisi highlighted the strong ties between Iran and India across political, economic, scientific, technological, transportation, and energy sectors.

Both leaders stressed the importance of joint efforts to combat terrorism and organized crime, promote stability and security in Afghanistan, strengthen international trade using national currencies, and ensure maritime security in international waters.

President Raisi also condemned the actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza, labeling them as war crimes and crimes against humanity. He called on India to play a role in ending the violence, lifting the blockade, and securing the rights of the Palestinian people.

Minister Jaishankar expressed India's condolences for a recent terrorist incident in Kerman and reaffirmed India's commitment to the Chabahar port project, while expressing India's interest in a comprehensive and long-term cooperation agreement with Iran. The meeting emphasized the desire for enhanced bilateral relations.
