ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin Visits Singapore
Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is embarking on a visit to Singapore as part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Distinguished Visitors' Programme (DVP) from February 5 to 6, 2024. The DVP, initiated in 2005, extends invitations to esteemed foreign leaders and heads of international organizations, facilitating discussions on shared interests with Singaporean leaders and senior government officials. Secretary-General Bogdan-Martin's visit underscores the strong partnership between the ITU and Singapore.
Her agenda comprises meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong, hosted meals by Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo, and Senior Minister of State Sim Ann. Additionally, she will engage with senior government officials and attend briefings organized by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the Office for Space Technology & Industry. Bogdan-Martin will also speak at an Asia Tech x Inspire event, further strengthening ties and knowledge exchange between the ITU and Singapore.
