Calgary, Alberta - February 23, 2024 - Canadian budget airline Lynx Air announced today that it will cease all flight operations on Monday, February 26th, 2024 at 12:01 AM MT. The airline cited "tremendous work put into the growth and expansion" but ultimately succumbed to "compounding financial pressures" including rising fuel costs, inflation, and regulatory costs.
Passengers with Flights This Weekend:
Lynx will operate the majority of its scheduled flights through this weekend, February 25th. Passengers with existing bookings will be notified via email if their flight is cancelled. For the latest updates, please visit the Lynx Air website.
Passengers with Flights After February 26th:
Lynx flights scheduled for February 26th or later will be cancelled. Passengers can contact their credit card company for a full refund. Lynx's contact center will not be available to assist with refunds.
Travel Vouchers and Flight Vouchers:
Unfortunately, travel vouchers and flight vouchers will no longer be valid after February 26th.
For Passengers Currently Travelling:
Please check your flight status online as most flights will operate as planned. For flights cancelled after February 26th, passengers will receive a refund and need to make alternate travel arrangements.
