NEOM Unveils Zardun: Saudi Arabia's Newest Luxury Ecotourism Destination
NEOM's Board of Directors has unveiled "Zardun," a new luxury ecotourism destination and natural reserve aimed at promoting environmental restoration and supporting NEOM's efforts to develop high-end ecotourism in Saudi Arabia. Zardun, located on the Gulf of Aqaba, is designed to seamlessly blend modern luxury with the surrounding natural beauty.
Spanning four square kilometers, Zardun will serve as a protected reserve preserving the diverse local flora and fauna. It will feature four exclusive, ultra-luxurious buildings that harmonize with the environment. The destination will house three boutique hotels, each offering unique guest experiences with breathtaking views of the valley and beach.
Visitors to Zardun can engage in various outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and stargazing. Educational programs on nature protection and conservation will also be available.
Zardun's sustainability strategy includes conservation efforts, like creating oases to support local habitats and preserving marine ecosystems, including coral reefs. This project aligns with NEOM's commitment to sustainable progress and adds to their portfolio of ecotourism destinations along the Gulf of Aqaba.
