Russian Foreign Ministry Condemns Deadly Attack by Ukrainian Neo-Nazis, Alleges Western Involvement

In a recent statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned what they described as a "brutal terrorist act" by Ukrainian neo-Nazis against the civilian population of Russia. On January 21, armed units reportedly fired six artillery rounds from Avdeyevka, a territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, into the Tekstilshchik neighborhood in Donetsk. The attack targeted a market and shops, resulting in at least 25 deaths and 20 injuries. Russia's Investigative Committee has initiated an investigation, vowing to hold those responsible accountable.

The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to Western countries' direct involvement in the conflict, alleging that weapons supplied by the West were used in the attack. They criticized Western support for the Zelensky regime and accused it of pursuing a "strategic defeat" on Russia through reckless means, including terrorist acts. Russia called on responsible governments and international agencies to condemn the attack and urged for a resolution of the conflict, emphasizing the need for Russia's special military operation to ensure security along its borders.
