Saudi Arabia and Georgia Establish Coordination Council to Strengthen Bilateral Relations
Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, welcomed Georgia's Foreign Minister, Ilia Darchiashvili, at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh. The two ministers discussed ways to enhance friendship and cooperation across various domains, addressing regional and international matters of shared interest.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish the Saudi-Georgian Coordination Council. This council aims to facilitate and expand collaboration between the two nations, aligning with the aspirations of their respective leaderships and populations.
The gathering was also attended by key officials, including the ministry's Undersecretary for Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati, Saudi Ambassador to Georgia Salman Al Al-Sheikh, and Eng. Fahd Al-Harthy, Director General of the General Administration of the Secretariats of the Councils and Committees. This development signifies the commitment of both nations to strengthen their bilateral relations and cooperation on various fronts.
